soapy is a type innocent guy he was poor and did not have money to pay rent for his house that,s why he wanted to commit crime to go to jail so that he could feed on free food and get free shelter . At the end he realised that he should live by earning money not by commiting any type of crime but at the same type a police officer caught him when he was looking at his old house and he was sent to jail
