Bep Gies and Miep Voskuijl were two of the helpers that helped the Frank's and others go into hiding. They were employees of the company Otto Frank owned.

Bep and Miep were very helpful to the Annexe occupants. Often, Anne mentions in her diary, how Miep and her husband Jan used to buy supplies for the annexe occupants.
Miep is seen working tirelessley, trying to help the Frank's. This protrays her as a helpful, kind and willing person who risked her personal safety to help the Jews under hiding.

This is also very much true for Bep. They both try to help the hidden Jews as much as they could. This fact proves that both Miep and Ben had a clear sense of humanity.
Though times were harsh, they played a great role in keeping the secret annexe working smoothly till its tenure and provifed a sense of safety and optimism to the rest of the helpers and the annexe occupants especially Anne.

They were one of the driving forces of Anne's never ending optimism and enthusiasm as Anne is very grateful to her helpers and feels like she owes to every one of their helpers to look forward to the future.
