Mrs. Sophia C. Hopkins was an American lady who was caring, hospitable, loving and helping. She was a good friend who called her friends like Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan often to her place. She had a miserable life as she faced death of her husband and daughter at a quite young age. She stayed with Helen Keller during the summer at Brewster, USA. She was a close friend of Helen and read many books to her like 'The Frost Fairies'. She was also a house matron at Perkins' Institute For Blind. At last, she died quite early.
