        (i) In a crystal atoms maintain a definite pattern.

        (ii) A crystal can have long range as well as short range order.

        (iii) A crystal can be insulator, conductor or semiconductor.

        (iv) Sometimes crystal are transparent (like glass). In some cases crystal is shiny.

        (v) The pattern of 'unit cell' repeats again and again. In this way the whole crystal is formed.

        (vi) In crystal there are many types of bonds like metallic bond, covalence bond, ionic bond etc.

        (vii) Some crystal defects are vacancy defect, dislocation, impurity defect etc.
