Duke was not only faithful and loyal , but he was also gifted with the extra ordinary powers of intuition and foresight and good understanding of the human psychology . He was quick to understand that his master was not well and toned down his masters behaviour from his earlier stress . He taught his master to walk again with infinite patience and care which was very surprising in a dog.
