Hey mate..
========
▪The following are the characteristics of elements of period :--
• When we go from left to right in a periodic table, The atomic size / radius of an element gets smaller and smaller.
• When we move along a period, The atomic number of an element increases by one unit.
• Elements in a period marks a new electronic shell getting filled.
• As we move left to right in a period, we will see that the elements are becoming more electronegative because of increase in nuclear charge which tends to pulls the electrons closer to the nucleus and thereby reducing the size of an element.
• Elements present in the left hand side of the period are metals which those present in the right hand side are non-metals.
Hope it helps you to some extent !!
