Characteristics of Mendeleev Periodic Table ?
Answers
⚫He was the first scientists to classify the element in a systematic manner i.e.
in horizontal row and vertical columns.
⚫Horizontal rows we're called periods and there were 7 periods in Mendleev Periodic table.
⚫ Vertical columns are called groups and there were 8 groups in Mendleev periodic table.
⚫each group up to VII was divided into
A & B subgroups. 'A' subgroup element were called normal element and 'B' subgroup element were called transition element.
⚫ The VIII group consisted of 9 element in three rows. ( Transition metal group)
⚫The element belonging to same group exhibit similar properties.
⚫63 element were known, noble gases were not discovered.
⚫ It was based on atomic weight.
Heya!
Here is ur answer...
MENDELEEV'S PERIODIC TABLE :
>> Mendeleev's periodic table is also called as SHORT FORM OF PERIODIC TABLE
>> This table was made..basing on the periodic law..
>> The mendeleev's law states that, "The properties of the elements are the periodic function of their atomic weight"
>> Mendeleev's table has 7 periods and 8 groups with subgroups
Hope it helps
