The group of fungal organisms consist of a sub type which are known as Mushrooms. Mushrooms have their own set characteristic feature, Some of which are listed below.

- Cap- Also known as , it is the umbrella like structure on the top of a mushroom. Different varieties of mushrooms have different patterns on their caps which helps in their identification.

- Stipe- This is the stem or stalk of a mushroom. It varies in length in different varieties and may be thick and short or thin and long in different mushrooms.

- Base- The stipe emerges from a base which is often under the soil surface.

- Mushrooms have pore like structures on the  base of their caps or along the stipe.

- Mycelium- It is a network of hyphae which anchors the mushroom base onto the growth surface
