i. In the wave motion , the distrubance of travels through the medium due to repeated periodic oscillations of particles of medium about their mean positions.

ii. The energy is transferred from one place to another without any actual transfer of the particles of the medium.

iii. Each particle received disturbance a little later then its preceding particle that is there is a regular face difference between one particles and next.

iv. The velocity with which a wave travel is different from the velocity of particles with which they vibrate about their mean position
