In India the crops grown on agriculture lands ,where the crops do not have to wait for monsoons that is in the short duration of months between Rabi and Kharif crop season, mainly from March to June, are called Zaid crops ( Zayid crops).

The characteristics of zaid crops are:

1. Zaid crops are grown between kharif crop season and ravi crop season.

2. They are grown from march to june.

3. They are harvested in march/april and mainly harvested befoe rainy season.

4. These crops are mainly vegetables and fruits.

5. They also don't include any grain crop.
