Tarun is portrayed as a victim of peer and social pressure. His brother was a bright student and therefore the youth constantly compared him to him and was embarrassed. He was not encouraged for his ongoing skills and was forced to focus solely on studies. Not for Ram Narayana, who supported his attitude of being a good runner, Tarun would also fail in his life, as he did in his subjects. The participant in the race taught him to jump over obstacles and move forward in life and never stop watching or turning back. Ram Narain considered him the real hero to win the race of life and also agreed to train him. It was a determination, perseverance, patience, hard work and desire to win the race that made Tarun a real hero.
