♠Coachman Ali is the main protagonist in the short story " the letter " by famous prolific writer Dhumketu. The story recounts the hard efforts of a father to hear from her daughter who lives far away .

〰Clever and Skillful " Shikari" { Hunter } :- Ali had been a very clever and Skillful Hunter in his times who never missed a shot . He could guess the sound of an animal even in damp bushes and the next moment the animal would be dead ‼

〰A Caring and Loving Father :- Ali showed immense feelings of care and love for his only daughter Miriam who left him after marriage to a solider from Punjab regiment. He longed to hear of her well being .

〰A very patient man :- As cited in the text , Ali had been visiting the post office for the past five years without a delay. Such was his level of patience that he came very first to the post office , and was the last to leave ; Empty handed ‼
