Behrman was a 60 year old painter. He live in the ground floor where Sue and Jhonsy live. He hd a life long dream to paint a masterpiece but that had reamined a dream. Sue told him about Johnsy's condition. She told him that Johnsy would die when the last leaf will fall. So he made a plan to save Johnsy. He went out in the night and painted the ivy leaf on the creeper. Johnsy saw that leaf and gained the will to survive. But Behrman died of pneumonia. As he was out all the night. He saved Johnsy's life but took his own. He sacrificed his life for the sake for other person. These a features shows that he was a person of great soul , kind hearted, gentle etc. And all this process helps him to paint a masterpiece.
