Kate Adams was Helen's mother. She was a kind and optimistic lady . She initially so sad because of her daughter s fate. But she became courageous and strong to accept the that fate. She had read Charles Dickens' American Notes' which gave her a ray of hope. She felt that she could be provided with education . So she consulted a school for the education of such children. . She was the greatest support in her life.
