Answer:
Explanation:
The lens which disperses the light rays around, that hits the lenses, are called a concave lens. In the convex lens, the curve is outward facing, whereas, in the concave lens, the curve faces inward. When the light rays pass through the convex lens, it converges the light rays and focuses on one point.
A concave mirror, or converging mirror, has a reflecting surface that is recessed inward (away from the incident light). Concave mirrors reflect light inward to one focal point. They are used to focus light.
A convex mirror or diverging mirror is a curved mirror in which the reflective surface bulges towards the light source. Convex mirrors reflect light outwards, therefore they are not used to focus light.

Answer:
. concave mirror is used as a reflector in torches ,search light, headlights of motar vehicles etc. to get powerful parallel beams of Light. It is also used as a shaving mirror/makeup mirror,as it can form errect and magnified image of the face.
.convex mirror produces an errect image of the objects. It has a wider field of view as they are curved outwards therefore ,convex mirrors enable the driver to view much larger area than would be possible with a plane mirror. It produces a virtual ,errect but diminished image.
.convex lens is thick at the centre and thin at the edges. It is called a converging lens beacuse it converges the rays of light falling on it.
. concave lens is the thick at the edges and thin at the centre. It is called a diverging lens beacuse it diverges the rays of light falling on it.
