Characteristics of Monsoon rainfall in India :

• They are Not Steady meaning undulating in Nature and Vary Yearly.

• They have tendency to have Breaks in Rainfall.They have Both Wet and Dry Spells. They take place only for a few days at a time.

• The monsoons are known for their uncertainties.They are often irregular in their arrival and retreat.

• They Are Uneven in Nature and distribution. They may Cause Flood in Some Part of the Country While Leaving Some Part Completely Dry.
