The value of electric field at the origin is given by the formula, E=Kq/r².
Charges q,2q,4q,8q,... are at a distance r,2r,4r,8r,... So the electric field at origin is given by
E= Kq/r² + K(2q)/(2r)² + K(4q)/(4r)² + K(8q)/(8r)² +...
= Kq/r² [1+1/2+1/4+1/8+...]
= Kq/r² [2]
= 2Kq/r²
