- TISCO or Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited, now better known as Tata Steel Limited is an Indian company based in Jamshedpur in the state of Jharkhand.
- In 1904, Dorabji Tata ( son of Jamsetji Tata) collaborated with Charles Weld.
- Charles Weld was a known American geologist and together went in search of deposits of iron ore. They setup a modern iron and steel plant and so in this way TISCO originated.
