Given equation -

1/2 (p + 3) = 7

= (p+3) = 7 × 2

=(p+3) = 14

= p+3 = 14

= p = 14 - 3

= p = 11.

Hence , the value of p is not 4.

Hope this helps you!

Answer:

P=4(as shown here)

1/2(4+3)

So,let us check the solution whether we are getting 7 or not. That is,

1/2(7)=7/2

So no, p≠4

We can find the real value of p now,

1/2(p+3)=7

p/2+3/2=7

p/2=7-3/2

Now find the lcm of both, that is 2

7/1×2/2=14/2

p/2=14-3/2

p/2=11/2

p=11/2×2

P=11
