Question :-

Check    \sf\dfrac{ - 12}{15}  ,    \sf\dfrac{ 36}{-60} are equivalent or not

Solution :-

First of all, let's arrange them

  \blue{\sf\dfrac{ - 12}{15}   \: and \:    \sf\dfrac{  - 36}{60} }

Reducing the terms

\sf{\dfrac{ - 4}{5}   \: and \:    \sf\dfrac{  - 3}{5} }

If we Reduce -12/15 by 3 it gives -4/5

Whereas -36/60 when reduced by 12 gives -3/5

And equivalent of a fraction means that the denominator of the fractions are equal.

Here, the denominator is 5

So, it's proved that it is Equivalent

Hence, Done

Answer:

yes it's equivalent

Step-by-step explanation:

firstly, arrange them in order

-12/15 and -36/60

Now, -12/15 is cut by 3

so next it will be -4/5

again, -36/60 is cut by 12

it will be -3/5

Now, here -4/5 and -3/5

the denominator of fraction is same

Hence, it's equivalent
