hey mate here is your answer,

p(X)=x³-2x
p(√2)=(√2)³-2(√2)
p(√2)=(2√2)-2(√2)
p(√2)=0
so,√2 is the zero of this polynomial

p(2)=(2)³-2(2)
p(2)=8-4
p(2)=4
so,2 is not a zero of the polynomial
