\sf \dashrightarrow \:(x + 1)2 = 2(x - 3) \\  \\ \sf \dashrightarrow \:2x + 2 = 2x - 6 \\  \\ \sf \dashrightarrow \:2x - 2x =  - 6 - 2 \\  \\ \sf \dashrightarrow \: 0 =  - 8

Hence,

  • the given equation is not a quadratic equation

2(x+1)=2(x-3)

2x+2=2x-3

2x-2x=-2-3

-5=0

 {0x}^{2}  +  {0y}^{2}  - 5 = 0

HENCE IT IS A QUADRATIC EQUATION..
