$p( \frac{ - 1}{ \sqrt{5} } ) = 5( \frac{ - 1}{ \sqrt{5} } )^{2} - 1$

$= 5 \times \frac{1}{5} - 1$

$1 - 1 = 0$

$if \: \: x = \frac{3}{ \sqrt{5} }$

$p( \frac{ - 3}{ \sqrt{5} } ) = 5( \frac{ - 3}{ \sqrt{5} } )^{2} - 1$

$5 \times \frac{9}{5} - 1$
