P(x)=x+2

putting x=-2

P(-2)=-2+2=0

Therefore -2 is a zero of polynomial p(x)

putting x=2

p(2)=2+2=4

Therefore 2 is not a zero of polynomial p(x)

Let p (x)=x+2.

then p (2)=2+2=4, p(-2)=-2+2=0

therefore, -2 is a zero of the polynomial x+2, but 2 is not.
