Step-by-step explanation:

If the given points are collinear,, then,

area of ∆ABC will be 0.

i.e.,ar(ABC)=0

Using Formula,,

\mathtt{\boxed{\pink{ar(ABC)=(x_1(y_2-y_3)+x_2(y_3-y_1)+x_3(y_1-y_2))}}}

For LHS,

ar(ABC)

 = (1(4 - 2) + 6(2 + 1) + 4( - 1 - 4)) \\  = (1 \times 2 + 6 \times 3 + 4 \times ( - 5)) \\  = 2 + 18 - 20 \\  = 20 - 20 = 0 \:  \: .......(1)

RHS=0 ........(2)

From equation 1 and 2 we get,,

LHS=RHS

Hence,, the given points are collinear..
