(x - 2)² + 1 =2x-3

Using (a - b)² = a² + b² - 2ab

(x² + 4- 4x) + 1 = 2x - 3

x² + 5-4x = 2x - 3

x² +5 4x-2x + 3 = 0

x² - 6x + 8 = 0

It is the form ax² + bx+c = 0

Where, a = 1, b = -6, c = 8

Hence it is a quadratic equation.

hope it helps..

Answer:

Quadratic equation

Step-by-step explanation:

(x-2)² + 1 = 2x-3

=> x²-4x+4+1 = 2x-3

=> x²-4x+5 = 2x-3

=> x²-4x-2x+5+3 = 0

=> x²-6x+8 = 0

Therefore, it is a quadratic equation as the highest power is 2.
