To check point ( a , - a ) lies on y = x - a we substitute values and get

- a = a - a

- a = 0

Here ,

L.H.S. ≠ R.H.S.

So, Given point ( a , - a ) not lies on given line y = x - a .

-a = 0

AS L.H.S NOT EQUAL TO R H.S
