✏ Answer :

x - 2y = 4 \\ (8) - 2(1) = 4 \\ 8 - 2 = 4

6≠4

Hence it is not the solution of the above linear equation

Hello !!

I very simple solve your question, you only need change (x) by 8 and (y) by 1. If the result in all sides is 4 the point is solution of this equation.

x - 2y = 4

8 - 2(1) = 4

8 - 2 = 4

6 is different of 4 (not is solution).

Final result : the point not is solution of this equation.

I hope I have collaborated !
