Answer:

not an AP

Step-by-step explanation:

a= 11

d=-3

tn=a+(n-1)d

-140=11+(n-1)(-3)

-140-11=(n-1)(-3)

-151/-3=n-1

151/3+1=n

154/3=n

n=51.3333

n is natural number

Here, a = 11 and d = 8 - 11 = -3

Assume that, the nth term of the given AP

We know that, nth term of an AP is

an \:  =  \: a + (n - 1)d

 =  >  \:  - 150 = 11 + (n - 1)( - 3) \\  =  >  \: n - 1 = \frac{161}{3}  \:   =  > n =  \frac{161}{3}  + 1 =  \frac{164}{3}

But n should be a positive integer. So, -150 is not a term of the given AP.
