check whether 1and 2 are the zeroes of the polynomial p(x)=(x-3)(x-1)​

p(x)=(x-3)(x-1)

putting x=1 we get,

p(1)=(1-3)(1-1)

=(-2) (0)

=0

putting x=2 we get,

p(2)=(2-3)(2-1)

=(-1) (1)

=(-1)

therefore, we can say that 1 is a zero of the given polynomial but not 2
