Answer:

If x=3, y=1

=(3×3)-1=9-1=8 this is right

If x=1 ,y=3

=(3×1)-3=3-3=0

If x=0, y=8

=(3×0)-8=0-8=-8

Put x= 3 and y=1

3(3)-1=8

9-1=8

8=8

therefore. (3,1) is the solution

put x=1 and y =3

3(1)-3=8

3-3=8

0 =8 (put a slash on equal sign......which means not equal)

therefore (1,3) is not the solution

put x=0 and y=8

3(0)-8=8

0-8=8

-8=8. (put a slash on equal sign which means not equal)

therefore (0,8) is not the solution
