x²-9 = 0 , x² = 9, x = +√9, -√9 , x = +3, -3..... Therefore , -3 and 3 are zeroes of the polynomial x²-9....

Given,

A quadratic equation x²-9 = 0

To Find,

Whether -3 and 3 are the zeroes of the given equation.

Solution,

We have to check whether -3,3 are the zeroes of the equation x²-9 = 0.

So,

Sum of zeroes = -b/a

where b is the coefficient of x and a is the coefficient of x²

Product of zeroes = c/a

where c is a constant.

Now,

Sum of zeroes = -3+3 = 0

Also -b/a = 0

Product of zeroes = -3*3 = -9

c/a = -9

Hence, -3 and 3 are the zeroes of the equation x²-9 = 0.
