Method 1   ---  Calculating lengths

AB = √( (6 - 5)² + (4 - -2)² ) = √( 1² + 6² ) = √37

BC = √( (6 - 7)² + (4 - -2)² ) = √( 1² + 6² ) = √37

As AB = BC, the triangle ABC is isosceles
