Hey...

Here’s ur answer... :)

Given : x^2 + x - 20...

So the question is to check if (-5) is a zero of the polynomial x^2 + x - 20... so (-5) should be replaced in the place of x and if the answer is zero then (-5) is a zero of the polynomial....

So, (-5)^2 + (-5) - 20..

So, 25 + (-25)...

= 0....

Hence (-5) is a zero of this polynomial...
