x=-7/3

f(-7/3)=3×(-7/3)^3+7×(-7/3
f(-7/3)=3×(-343/27)-49/3=-343/9-49/3=-343-147/9
f(-7 /3)=-490/9

7+3x not is a factor of 3x^3+7x

Hello friends!!

Here is your answer :

P(x) = 3x³ + 7x

G(x) = 7 + 3x

Zero of g(x) = - 7/3

 \\ p( \frac{ - 7}{3} ) = 3 {( \frac{ - 7}{3} )}^{3}  +7 (\frac{  - 7}{3} )

  \\ = 3 \times  \frac{ - 343}{27}  +  (\frac{ - 49}{3} )

  \\ =  \frac{ - 343}{9}  -  \frac{49}{3}

 \\  =  \frac{ - 343 - 147}{9}

 \\  =  \frac{ - 490}{9}

Remainder ≠ 0.

Therefore, g(x) is not a factor of p(x).

Hope it helps you.. ^_^
