P(x) =x^2-2x

P(1)=1^2-2(1)

P(1)=1-2

P(1)=-1

1 is not a zero of the polynomial p(x) =x^2-2x

By using the relationship between zeroes and coefficients we can find the zeroes of the polynomial

Sum of zeroes=-(coefficient of x)/coefficient of x^2=-(-2)/1=2

Product of zeroes=constant term/coefficient of x^2=0/1=0

2,0 are the zeroes of the polynomial

p(x) =x^2-2x

I hope it's help you
