Check whether L is parallel to m in each of the following figures. Give reasons for your answer

jaisawant09: Yes they are parallel
Assume that ∠abc=120
&∠bde=60

∠bde+∠bdf=180 (linear pair of angles)
60+∠bdf=180
∠bdf=120
∴∠bdf=∠abc (corresponding angles)
rica26: can solve in notebook and send me picture

\mathbb{ELLO \ THERE!}

--------

Ways to check If l║m

If corresponding angles are equal, l║m.

If co-interior angles are equal, l║m.

If alternate interior angles are equal, l║m.

If any one condition is obeyed, we can tell the lines are parallel.

---------

First lets find angles that are able to be found.

∠PQS + 60° = 180° (Linear pair)

∠PQS = 180° - 60°

∠PQS = 120°

Now, we can see that corresponding angles PQS and PQM are equal,

Since corresponding angles are equal the lines are parallel!
