$\frac{1}{x} \times (x - 1) \times (x - 2) = 0 \\ (1 - \frac{1}{x} )(x - 2) = 0 \\ x - 2 - 1 + \frac{2}{x} = 0 \\ \frac{x^{2} - 3x + 2}{x} = 0 \\ x ^{2} - 3x + 2 = 0$

so it is a polynomial
