check whether the equations x+2y-5=0 and 2x-y+9=0 are consistent or inconsistent

2x-y+9=0---(2)

from 1 and 2 equations

1/2 is not equal to-2/1 is not equal to -5/9

so these lines are interseting lines

they are consistent lines
