Yes 10 , 12 , 15 , 18 are in proportion

Given :

Four numbers 12 , 18 , 22 , 33

To find :

To check whether they are in proportion

Solution :

Step 1 of 3 :

Write down the given numbers

The given numbers are 10 , 12 , 15 , 18

Step 2 of 3 :

Write down the condition for proportion

Four given numbers a , b , c , d are said to be in proportion if product of extreme terms = product of middle terms

That is , a × d = b × c

Step 3 of 3 :

Check whether 10 , 12 , 15 , 18 are in proportion

Extreme terms are 10 & 18

Middle terms are 12 & 15

Product of extreme terms = 10 × 18 = 180

Product of middle terms = 12 × 15 = 18

Thus we observe that

Product of extreme terms = Product of middle terms

Hence we can conclude that 10 , 12 , 15 , 18 are in proportion
