If a, b, c are in continued proportion then  b2 = ac. 

2, 4, 8 

Let, a = 2,

b = 4 and

c = 8 

Here, b2 = 42 = 16 

ac = 2 x 8 = 16 

∴ b2 = ac 

∴ 2, 4,8 are in continued proportion.
