Put x = 2/3 in the given linear equation,

Taking LHS,

= 8x - 3 / 3x

= 8 x 2/3 - 3 / 3 x 2/3

= 16/3 - 3 / 2

= 7/3 / 2

= 7/6

>> Hence, LHS ≠ RHS.

7/6 ≠ 2

>>Thus x = 2/3 is not true for 8x-3/3x=2
