Check whether the rational numbers -3/5 and -12/20 are equivalent or not??

Answer:

1) 3/5 is in its simple ratio so we don't need to change anything for it

2) for 12/20 will find a no. Divisible by both of them

3) 4 is that no...stiking off 12 with four will give 3 and 20 with 4 will give 5 hence becoming 3/5

therefore 3/5=3/5=12/20

Therefore we don’t need to cut it.

When we cut -12/20
We get -3/5
As -3/5= -3/5
Therefore -3/5 is equivalent to -12/20
