sum of two sides should be greater than third side, I. e. 8+15=23
difference of two sides should be less than third side, I. e., 15-8=7
Hence we can form a triangle

he asked about right angled triangle,but you used this technique only for forming triangle,.You should have used pythagoras theorem to find it.

Solution:
Given: 3 sides of a triangle are 8cm,15cm & 17cm,
To find: Check whether it forms a right angled triangle or not,.
We know that, right angled triangles obey pythagoras theorem,.
(Hypotenuse(or) longest side)²=sum of the square of other two sides
(17)²= (8)²+(15)²
289 = 64+225
289 = 289
LHS = RHS
∴ Hence,it forms a right angled triangle,
Hope it Helps!!
