Answer :

Put x as 2.

→ (2)² - 5(2) + 6

→ 4 - 10 + 6

→ 10 - 10

→ 0

So, (x - 2) is a factor of polynomial x² - 5x + 6.

\rule{150}{2}

Now,

Put x as 3.

→ (3)² - 5(3) + 6

→ 9 - 15 + 6

→ 15 - 15

→ 0

So, (x - 3) is a factor of polynomial x² - 5x + 6.
