AnsweR :-

p(x) =  {x}^{3} + 5 {x}^{2} - 7x - 26

x + 2 = 0

x = 0 - 2

x =  - 2

Solution :-

p( - 2) =  {( - 2)}^{3}  + 5{( - 2)}^{2} - 7( - 2) - 26

 - 8 + 20  +  14   - 26

p( - 2) = 0

\therefore -2 is the zero.

Procedure :-

\implies First we will see that is there is any power on any constant or variable, then we will find the zero of x+2 that will be -2 as 2 is transpose it will become -2.

\implies Then we will place -2 in place of x and then equate it. The first -2 will become -8 second one will positive as 2 is multiplied 2 times with itself and then will multiply it with 5 Same with +14 aa there is -2 and the sign is - so ( - × - = +) then the last one will remain the same. After adding and subtracting we will get zero.
