Check whether ( x + 3) is a factor of p ( x ) = x2 - 9​

x=-3,

p(-3) =(-3)²-9

9-9=0

therefore the answer is 0 ,the value of x is -3

To check this first we have to find a zero of (x+3).

For finding zero,

X+3=0

X=-3

Therefore,-3 is a zero of x+3

Now, by remainder theorem

Put x=-3

P(-3)=(-3)2-9

=-6-9

=-15

Hence, it is not equal to 0. So x+3 is not a factor of x2-9.
