Given:-

 {x}^{2}  - 3x + x - 3

To check:-

x = 3 is a zero of polynomial

Solution:-

If, x=3 is the zero of polynomial the it must satisfies p(x) = 0

By putting the value of "x" in given p(x).

 =  {x}^{2}  - 2x - 3

 =  {3}^{2}  - 2 \times 3 - 3

 = 9 - 6 - 3

 = 9 - 9

 = 0

hence, x= 3 satisfies the given p(x) =0.

therefore, x = 3 is the zero of polynomial  {x}^{2}  - 2x - 3
