1. the liquids differ from the solids in their basic structural integrity as in how close or how far the molecules are apart from each other

it is very small in sol and comparitively larger in liq

2. both liq and gases do not have fixed shape and take the shape of the container they are in

3. air is considered as matter as it does have mass even though it looks negligible to us and it does occupy atleast some volume so it therefore considered as matter
