So ,

x = 0 and y = 9

Equation : 9x - 8y = 72

By putting the value of x and y in the L.H.S. of the equation ,

$L.H.S. \: = 9 \times 0 - 8 \times 9 \\ \\ = 0 - 72 \\ \\ = -7 2$

And,

$R.H.S. \: = 72$

Here L.H.S. is not equal to R.H.S.

So,

(x , y ) = ( 0 , 9 ) or value of x and y = ( 0 , 9 ) is not a solution of the equation 9x - 8y = 72.
